The Loon Copter is not the first drone to dive into open waters, but it is the first of its kind that can operate on the surface as well as below it.
When in use, the buoyancy chambers of the Loon Copter keep the drone floating on the surface of the water, and when it is time to explore the world below, the drone’s chambers will fill causing it to sink. After it is submerged, the Loon Copter tilts to a 90 degree angle and uses its rotors to move around.
